For me, photography has always been about people.

I’m Ruth, a London-based wedding photographer, and the way I work comes from a deep understanding of how meaningful it is to feel safe, seen, heard, and unhurried on a day that matters this much.

My life has been shaped by movement and connection. Venezuelan by birth, with roots in Tenerife and a home now in London, I’ve learned to notice what connects people quietly, through gestures, presence, and the moments that often pass unnoticed.

I picked up a camera at eighteen, and what began as curiosity became the way I understood the world. Over the years, photography led me through many forms of storytelling across Venezuela, Spain, and England. But no matter the subject, one thing remained constant: I’ve always been drawn to people, their relationships, and the meaning held in small, fleeting moments.

That’s why weddings became my home.

Not for the spectacle, but for what they truly are: a gathering of connection, family, memory, and love. A day meant to be experienced fully, not performed.

I believe weddings aren’t about perfect poses or constant direction. They’re about presence. About feeling at ease enough to be yourselves while everything meaningful unfolds around you. That belief shapes every part of how I photograph.

With a calm, intentional approach and gentle guidance, I create structure without pressure. I’ll guide you when needed, step back when it matters, and remain attentive to how you’re feeling throughout the day, so nothing ever feels forced or disconnected from who you are.

My work blends editorial storytelling with honest observation, focusing on subtle gestures, quiet in-between moments, and the emotional undercurrent of the day. The way someone reaches for your hand, the laughter that settles after the ceremony, the comfort of being surrounded by the people you love most.

I’m also a mother of three, which has deepened my awareness of how fleeting life truly is. I know how quickly moments pass, and how photographs grow more meaningful with time, not just as images, but as emotional anchors we return to again and again.

Today, I photograph weddings across the UK and Europe with one clear intention: to create imagery that feels elevated yet human, calm yet deeply felt. Images that don’t just show how your day looked, but allow you to live it all over again.
